Some YTA Clients Qualify for $6000 Stipend

The COVID-19 pandemic has been tough on everyone. To support youth who’ve aged out of foster care, the federal government has passed the Supporting Foster Youth and Families Through the Pandemic Act.

Eligible participants will receive $1,000 each month for six months, totaling $6,000, to assist with rent or mortgage payments, utility bills, car loans, groceries and other basic needs. To qualify, youth must have aged out of foster care between January 27, 2020 and September 30, 2021.
