Trainer Recertification: 7ei of Trauma Sensitive Schools

Trainer: Sara Daniel & Kanisha Phelps Cost: $1,000*

        Show description
Participants will attend a two day workshop or a four part virtual session in which they will be re-certified by a SaintA training staff on SaintA’s 7ei module of trauma sensitive schools. Participants will enhance their knowledge about the underlying research and resources that support 7ei. Participants will be equipped with updated tools and resources to create awareness and inspire a trauma informed perspective in their school or district. Participants will receive opportunities for coaching to deliver the content effectively.
NOTE: Participants may attend the day long Introduction to the 7ei of Trauma Sensitive Schools presentation by a SaintA staff the day BEFORE re-certification, but it is not required. (If the Introduction is being offered virtually it will be two parts offered over two days.) This can be helpful for review as well as exposure to any content updates. There is no additional fee to attend the 7ei Introduction presentation.
        * Trainers will be re-certified to train the 7ei model at their designated entity (facility, agency, school district or consortium) and are only authorized to train individuals employed by this entity. Under no circumstances is the trainee certified to authorize others to train using the 7ei curriculum. Certification will expire two years after training is completed at which time the person must discontinue teaching 7ei until re-certified. If you have questions about this policy please contact Sandy Engelhardt at sengelhardt@sainta.org.
NOTE: Participants must attend both days for in-person training or complete all four parts for virtual sessions to be re-certified.

        Bal-A-Vis-X

Trainers: Michelle Drucker and Shel Hyatt Cost: $300*

        Show description
SaintA in partnership with CESA 4 is offering Bal-A-Vis-X which is a series of more than 200 Balance-Auditory-Vision-eXercises founded by Bill Hubert of Bal-A-Vis-X, Inc. Most exercises are done with sand filled bags or racquetballs, often while standing on a balance board.

        See video here.

The exercises require thousands of mid-line crossings in three dimensions and vary in complexity. They are steadily rhythmic, with a pronounced auditory foundation, executed at a pace that naturally results from proper physical techniques. BAVX demands cooperation, promotes self-challenge, fosters self-esteem and peer teaching and it is FUN.

Improves: • Visual Tracking • Hand-Eye Coordination • Bilateral Coordination • Rhythm • Attention and Focus • Regulation • Relationship Building • Confidence

Registration for this training is $300, with lunch provided each day. (14 CEUs)

This is a hands-on workshop where you will be moving and learning! Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

Michelle Drucker is a physical therapist and BAVX Practitioner. She partners with Shel Hyatt, K-3 grade teacher and BAVX Practitioner, to instruct 17-hour BAVX courses throughout Wisconsin and Canada.
