SaintA Presents MILWAUKEE 53206

August 15, 2017 @ 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Milwaukee 53206 Screening

It’s difficult to fathom, but the United States has the most prisoners of any developed nation. This is not something that’s happening “somewhere else,” either.

Milwaukee’s largely African American zip code 53206 is the most incarcerated zip code in the world. With 62% of its adult men having spent time in prison, 53206 is a microcosm of the daily realities of those affected by mass incarceration in America.

The community is invited to watch this important documentary film, sponsored by the SaintA Diversity Committee.

Through the voices of three 53206 residents, the film allows us to witness the high human toll mass incarceration takes on individuals, families and the community. The film illuminates the story of people from across the United States who live with the daily effects of mass incarceration.

This screening of MILWAUKEE 53206 is part of a nationwide social impact campaign with the mission of: Strengthening Families, Healing Communities, Overcoming the Effects of Mass Incarceration.
