About The Clinic

The Clinic at SaintA provides individual, family and group outpatient mental health services, including talk and occupational therapy, Theraplay®, Art Therapy, and a range of other interventions.

It all begins with clinical consultations and assessments using the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT). SaintA’s clinical team have completed or are completing NM certification through the Neurosequential Network (formerly, the ChildTrauma Academy.)

Accepted Insurances

We are in network with most major Commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid Advantage, and Medicaid insurance companies and can provide general benefit checks quoted by your insurance company. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the benefits until we receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB). Please call us if you do not see your insurance company listed or if insurance isn’t an option, we can discuss our private pay rates with you.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

If you are enrolled in an accepted insurance company, we can help you determine whether you have EAP benefits available to you. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a voluntary, work-based program that offers free and confidential short-term counseling. For most insurances, you can initiate an authorization with your insurance to start seeing a therapist. You can also contact our office at or 414-463-1880 for assistance. Please be sure to let the Clinic staff know that you are using your EAP benefits prior to starting services.

Meet Our Therapists

Laprece Armour has a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor In Training. She has experience in private practice providing therapy services to adults, adolescents, children, and families, as well as experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, ADHD, anger management, grief, and relationship challenges.

Betsy Cocos, MSW, LMFT, has 25+ years of experience in the field. Betsy’s area of expertise includes working with victims of sexual abuse. She specializes in working with teens and adults and incorporates family work into the therapeutic process. Betsy’s philosophy is to support the whole family unit in improving mental health and well-being.

Nils Johnansen, MSW, APSW, has been a practicing social worker in Milwaukee for nearly 15 years and specializes in serving at-risk youth and families within the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. He has an interest in providing services to teens and working in family dynamics. Nils enjoys incorporating drumming and music into his client work to help promote stress coping and self-regulation skills.

Michael Joranger, LCSW, has more than three decades of experience in child welfare and psychotherapy across a wide variety of settings. He brings SaintA’s Trauma Informed philosophy to trainings in crisis management, the ACE Interface project, and the Mandt system. Michael earned his bachelor’s from Saint John’s University, did graduate work at the University of Minnesota, and earned his Master’s degree in Social Work from UW-Milwaukee.

Jacob Kulas, LPC, has received Level One training in Theraplay® and the Marschak Interaction Method (MIM), which incorporates play and attachment work into parent-child interactions both in and out of the therapeutic setting. His play therapy expertise combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems work gives Jacob a variety of therapeutic approaches to consider for youth of all ages.

Brian Myers, MS, ATRL-BC, LPC, ATCS, is an Infant Mental Health Specialist with 20+ years of experience in infant, early childhood and family work. Brian is also an Art Therapist and trained in EMDR. He enjoys fostering relational connections between parents and their infants or young children, and providing various treatment modalities for the youth, teens and adults he serves.
