Milwaukee, Wis. (5/10/2013) — Clarissia (CJ) Jackson recently joined the board of directors of St. Aemilian-Lakeside. She is the senior human resources manager for global technology at GEHealthcare, where she has worked since 1998.
At GEHC, she is responsible for recruiting engineering leaders and staffing teams in places such as India, China, Hungary, and theU.S. She also designs new organizational structures and ensures operational excellence around fundamental HR processes such as career development, performance management and technical strategy.
Before joining GEHC, Jackson worked in human resources at a number of companies, including Gerber Products, SC Johnson Wax, and Mobil Oil. She also spent several years as an entrepreneur and Class A tour guide in Washington,D.C., where she founded “The DC Foot Tour,” the city’s first regularly scheduled walking tour.
Jackson has a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Indiana University in Bloomington. She is a member of the GEHC African-American Forum Executive Council and the GE Women’s Network. She also has served as the GEHC representative for the Waukesha County NAACP and was on the board of the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Wisconsin. The Milwaukee Times selected her as a Black Excellence Award honoree in 2011. She also instructs inmates at the Green Bay State Correctional Facility as part of its “Challenges and Opportunities” curriculum.
