Bringing Back Good, Old-Fashioned Family Fun

Family fun is an important part of building a strong family identity. When families have fun together, it builds a bond that can last a lifetime. Traditions are often developed in times of fun and it’s those traditions that define and individualize each family.

However, with an ever-growing list of things to accomplish each day and technology often replacing personal interaction, it’s easy to let family time drop down on your list of priorities. SaintA Family Services has taken some of the work out of family activities – and replaced it with a whole bucket full of fun.

Introducing the SaintA Parent Café Bucket of Fun!

The bucket was created to help our Parent Café families get back on track to their journey of creating lifelong memories and traditions. The buckets include books, a list of family fun ideas, supplies for the cotton ball straw race and healthy snacks.

In addition to being fun, spending time with family helps foster communication, provides positive reinforcement, strengthens relationships and teaches social skills. The Parent Café Bucket of Fun helps family time be more interactive with both the children and parents fully engaged in activities together.

The importance of this time together can be multifold: The child feels important and loved; he or she can voice their thoughts and feelings; and the parent can observe and learn about the child’s strengths and weaknesses in order to better guide them.

Join the Fun Crusade

We know the goal of every parent is to raise a happy and well-adjusted child and there are many resources available to parents on child development, health, nutrition, education and parenting. But, one thing is often overlooked. Children need time and attention from their parents. So, join the crusade to bring back Good, Old-Fashioned Family Fun Time!

If you are a SaintA family, you can join us at one of these upcoming SaintA Parent Cafés, which are held from 5:30-8 p.m. in the Franciscan Center at our Capital Drive location.
