Become a Foster Parent
More than 7,000 Wisconsin children are currently in out-of-home care –- and that number continues to rise. Many couples and individuals have stepped up to become licensed foster parents but there is a still a shortage of homes.
As a foster parent, you will invest not only in children who need you, but also your community. We need families and individuals from all backgrounds, cultures and family structures to represent the diverse range of kids who come into care.
Can you help? You don’t have to be perfect to become a foster parent, but you do need to be patient, understanding and committed to a child’s current and future needs.
Foster parents must be at least 21 years old. You can be single, married or partnered. You can work outside the home (including full-time) and have children of your own in the home.

Join us as SaintA TravelsWhile the number of kids in care has continued to increase, the number of homes in Wisconsin has stalled. We are on the road to change that. We recently interviewed Chris and Wendy Attoe to learn what makes great foster parents.
