If you share our vision for a world where every child and family can thrive, there are a number of ways to get involved. Read below for opportunities ranging from financial support to toy donations to volunteering at our award-winning school of character, Capitol West Academy.
Your financial support goes toward the resources needed to provide Trauma Informed Care and facilitate healing for children, youth and families. Milwaukee is among the most impoverished cities in the country, ranks high in the number of child sex trafficking victims, and not coincidentally, has a phenomenon of generational trauma.
Like many states, Wisconsin suffers from the opioid epidemic and has seen an increase in the number of children in foster care due to neglect.
Holiday Toys for Children in Foster Care
We are currently collecting new, unwrapped toys, valued at $15 and gift cards of the same denomination for children and youth ages 0-18 years old. For toy ideas or to arrange to drop off toys, please contact Gina Aiello, Youth Services Coordinator, at email@example.com or 414.465.5735. Gina can also help you set up your own SaintA Holiday Toy Drive.

Keep Cathy’s Collection Stocked
The SaintA foster care community gained an angel when long-time foster mom, Cathy Miller, passed away in April of 2018. Cathy’s Collection is an on-site boutique where case managers, licensing and placement staff and others can “shop” for new, donated personal items for kids and youth in foster care.
Sponsor Foster Family Events
Foster families often tell us how important it is for them to network with each other and have a fun and safe place for their children to play. The Summer Pool Party typically occurs in July or August, while Candy Cane Connection kicks off the holiday season in early December. Both events could benefit from your corporate sponsorship or volunteer power.
Volunteer at Capitol West Academy
Our public charter school shares a campus with us on Milwaukee’s northwest side. With a focus on character education, Capitol West Academy (CWA) has a number of volunteer opportunities available. Click here to meet some of our volunteers or contact Dr. Mora Anderson, Executive Director of CWA at firstname.lastname@example.org or 414.465.1355 to apply.
If you hope to volunteer with SaintA, there is an extensive interview process and background check due to the sensitive nature of our work. These may include a personal reference check, drug screening and tuberculosis testing. There are limited opportunities available, however. Please contact Gina Aiello, Youth Services Coordinator, at 414.465.5735 or email@example.com.
